DRAFT for review - not yet the published policy. Written to match what the app and this site actually do; subject to change before launch.

What we collect

• Your email address - used only to sign you in. It is never shown to anyone and is not stored with your reviews.
• Your username - public. It's how your reviews are signed.
• What you post - ratings, reviews, votes and reports.
• What matters to you (your preferences) - saved to your account so it follows you to a new phone; if you are not signed in it stays on your phone.

Your location

Your location is used on your phone to show restrooms near you. When you rate a place while you're there, your position is sent once so we can mark the review as a verified visit, and is then thrown away - it is never stored.

Dates, not times

Reviews show the date, never the time. We keep the exact time a review was written on our servers for moderation and for anonymous, combined statistics (for example, how busy restrooms are at different hours of the day). Those statistics never name a member, and the exact time of your review is never shown to anyone.

Crash reports and problem reports

When the app crashes, it sends a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics (Google) so we can fix it. That report describes the crash and the device it happened on - the model, the version of Android, and which build of our app you were running. It does not include your name, your email, your username or your location.

If you send us a problem report yourself (in test builds, under More › Report a problem), we receive what you wrote, the app version and the platform. Nothing else about you is attached.

Beta sign-up

If you sign up on our homepage to test the app or to hear when it launches, your email address goes to Firebase App Distribution (Google), which sends the test invite and holds the launch list. We do not keep your address in our own database. To be removed, write to contact@crappertracker.com.

Who runs it

We use Firebase (Google) to run the service. We do not sell or share your personal information, and there are no advertising trackers or advertising cookies. If you sign in on this website, your browser keeps you signed in until you sign out.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app under More › Delete my account, or by writing to contact@crappertracker.com. Your login, profile, saved places and blocked list are removed; your reviews stay, anonymised, so the scores other people rely on survive.
